Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Black Black G for the use of Keywow, the visual keyboard for Android with a game built into it.
Keywow is a keyboard. You type, the keyboard charges a samurai, and the samurai cuts bamboo, finds keys, opens chests and forges new visual effects. The keyboard is the interface: each keystroke feeds the game on your device.
Please read these terms before you install or use the app. They are written to be read by a person, not by a lawyer. Where a rule is strict, we say so plainly.

1. Who we are
Keywow is published and operated by Black Black G, a French simplified joint stock company (SAS).
- Registered office: 1 Allée des Frênes, 94290 Villeneuve-le-Roi, France
- Company number (SIREN): 902 612 043
- VAT number: FR49902612043
- Contact: contact@keywow.app
In these terms, “we”, “us”, “our” and “Black Black G” mean this company. “You” means the person who installs or uses the app.
The app is distributed on Google Play under the package name com.keywow.visualkeyboard.
2. Accepting these terms, and the documents that apply
By downloading, installing or using Keywow, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install the app, and uninstall it if you already have.
Three documents form our agreement with you:
- These Terms of Service, which cover the app, the keyboard, the game and purchases.
- The Privacy Policy at https://keywow.app/en/privacy-policy/, which explains what the app processes and why.
- The Safe and Fair Play Policy at https://keywow.app/en/safe-and-fair-play/, which covers what you may and may not do in and with the app.
If these documents ever conflict, these Terms of Service come first for questions about the use of the app, and the Privacy Policy comes first for questions about personal data.
If a clause of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms stay in force. If we do not enforce a rule immediately, we do not lose the right to enforce it later.
3. Who can use Keywow
You must be at least 13 years old to use Keywow. The app is not directed to children under 13.
If you are between 13 and the age of digital consent in your country (16 in some European countries, 18 in others), you may use the app only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and only if they agree to these terms on your behalf.
You must also have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement where you live. If you cannot enter into a contract on your own, a parent or guardian must accept these terms for you.
Keywow is available on Android through Google Play. Availability depends on the country settings of your Google Play account and on the law where you live. We do not promise that the app is available everywhere, and we may restrict access in a country where we cannot operate lawfully.
If we learn that a user is under 13, we will close the access associated with that user and delete the related data, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non exclusive, non transferable and revocable licence to install and use Keywow on the Android devices you own or control, for your own private use, in accordance with these terms.
This licence is for you alone. You may not give it, sell it, rent it, share it or transfer it to anyone else, and you may not let another person use the app under your identity or account.
Unless the law expressly allows it despite this restriction, you may not:
- copy the app, all or part of it, or the content it contains;
- modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works from the app;
- decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the app, or try to obtain its source code;
- extract, scrape or reuse the visual effects, the artwork, the sound design or the game data;
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the app or access to it;
- remove or alter any copyright notice, trademark or attribution in the app.
This licence ends automatically if you breach these terms, and it ends when you uninstall the app or when we end our relationship under section 14.
5. The keyboard and Android permissions
Keywow is an Android input method editor (an IME). In practice, it is a keyboard that replaces the keyboard provided by your phone once you enable it and select it as your input method.
To use Keywow as a keyboard, Android asks you to:
- Enable Keywow in the keyboard settings of your device.
- Select Keywow as the active input method.
These two steps are performed in Android settings, not inside the app, and you can reverse them at any time.
What the app receives. A keyboard receives the characters you type. That is how any keyboard works, and it cannot work otherwise. Keywow uses those keystrokes for two things: it charges the in game meter, and it triggers the visual effect attached to the key you pressed.
Where the processing happens. The typing driven game and the visual effects run on your device. We do not send your keystrokes to our servers, and we do not store them. We do not build a history of what you type.
What the app does not capture. Keywow does not collect text from fields that Android or the app marks as password or payment card fields. It also ignores strings made only of digits, and strings that contain ”@”. This rule exists to keep passwords, card numbers and email addresses out of the game.
The app does not read your messages, your contacts or your files in order to send them anywhere. It has no advertising SDK in the current version, and we serve no ads.
How to stop using it. Open Android Settings, go to System, then Languages and input, then On screen keyboard, and disable or remove Keywow. You can also uninstall the app like any other app. Once Keywow is not your active input method, it no longer receives keystrokes.
Where to read more. The Privacy Policy at https://keywow.app/en/privacy-policy/ describes exactly what is processed, what leaves the device and under which legal basis.
6. Accounts
You do not need an account to use Keywow. There is no sign up, no password and no social login. You install the app, you enable the keyboard, and you play.
Your progress is kept on your device. We do not offer cloud saves or synchronisation between devices. If you uninstall the app, clear its data, or move to another device, your progress may be lost, and we may not be able to restore it. Purchases you made are tied to the Google Play account used on the device, not to a Keywow account, so a reinstallation with the same Google Play account is the only way we can help you recover purchased content.
You are responsible for your device: its lock screen, its Google account, and who can physically use it. If someone else uses your device, they can use your keyboard and your game progress.
If you contact us about a purchase, we may ask for the order identifier provided by Google Play. We never ask for your card number, your Google password, or a code received by SMS.
7. Purchases, subscriptions and free trials
Some content in Keywow is paid. Payments are handled by Google Play Billing, with the technical support of RevenueCat, Inc. for purchase validation and entitlement management. We never see or store your card details. Google processes the payment under its own terms.
Prices. Prices are shown in the app before you confirm, in your local currency, including applicable taxes. The amount charged is the amount displayed by Google Play at the moment of purchase.
Subscriptions. Some offers are subscriptions. When you subscribe, you authorise Google Play to charge the subscription price to the Google Play account linked to your device at the start of each period, and the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in the Google Play subscriptions settings of your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Free trials. If a free trial is offered, its length is shown in the app before you start it. At the end of the trial, the subscription starts and the price is charged automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. A trial is generally available once per Google Play account.
Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Google Play under the Google Play refund policy. You can request a refund from your Google Play order history. We can also issue a refund from our side when the law requires it or when the purchase did not work as described. Contact us at contact@keywow.app and include the order identifier.
Right of withdrawal in the European Union. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days from the purchase to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content supplied immediately, this right applies to content you have not used. If you have already used the content, for example by opening the chests or spending the items included in a pack, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to that content. Where the right still applies, contact us and we will arrange the withdrawal and the refund. This right is in addition to the Google Play refund process, and it does not affect your other statutory rights.
What money buys. Money buys deterministic content: choice cards, the compass and its minimum rarity guarantee, boosters, forge materials, cosmetics, comfort features, and the subscription. Money never buys keys and never buys chests. Keys are earned by playing. Section 8 explains this in detail.
8. Virtual items, chests, keys and odds
The game contains virtual items: bamboo, keys, crystals, cards, forge materials, cosmetics and other content. These items exist only inside the app.
A limited licence, not property. Virtual items are licensed to you, not sold to you. They remain part of the app. You have no ownership right over them, no right to a refund of their value, and no right to transfer, trade or sell them outside the app. They have no monetary value, they cannot be exchanged for money or goods, and they cannot be cashed out.
What real money can buy. Real money buys content with a known result: a card of your choice, a compass with a minimum rarity guarantee, boosters, forge materials, cosmetics, comfort features, and the subscription. Real money never buys keys and never buys chests.
What you earn by playing. Keys are earned by playing. Bamboo is cut by typing, keys are found in the bamboo, and keys open chests. The loop is designed so that playing is the way to get keys, and paying is never a shortcut to a random result.
Odds. Every chest has a published probability for each rarity. The Rates screen in the app shows the probability of each rarity, with two decimals, before you open a chest. It also shows the pity counter and the pity state: how many openings remain before a guaranteed result, and what that guarantee is. Those published odds and pity rules are part of our agreement with you. If we change them, we update the Rates screen before the change applies, and the new values govern openings made after the update.
Availability. We may add, modify or retire items, chests or effects over time, as explained in section 13. Items you hold may become less useful, or stop being obtainable, after such a change. We will not convert them into money.
9. User content
Some features let you create or provide content: skins, themes, keyboard layouts, display names, and any content you choose to share through the app (your “user content”).
You keep your rights. You keep all rights you hold in your user content. We do not claim ownership of it.
The licence you give us. To operate the service, you grant us a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt to screen sizes and formats, publish and display your user content, for as long as it is used by the service. This licence is limited to running, improving and promoting Keywow. It ends when you delete the content or stop using the feature, except for copies kept in backups for a reasonable period, and except where the law requires us to keep something.
What you must own. You must hold the rights needed to grant this licence. If your content includes a third party work, you must have permission to use it. Do not upload content you found online and do not own.
Content rules. Your user content must follow section 10 and the Safe and Fair Play Policy. It must not be unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, harassing, misleading, or infringe anyone’s rights. It must not impersonate another person or a brand.
Moderation. We may review, refuse, hide or remove user content that breaks these rules, and we may limit the features that let you publish content. We do not review everything in advance, and we are not responsible for content published by users, but we act on reports sent to contact@keywow.app.
9.4 Infringement notices
If you believe that content available in the app infringes your rights, or breaks these terms, send an infringement notice to contact@keywow.app. Include:
- your name and contact details;
- a description detailed enough for us to identify the content and the right you say is infringed;
- where the content appears in the app, or a screenshot;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised.
We review the notice, we may ask for more information, and we tell you what we decided. If we remove content, we may tell the person who posted it.
We may also remove content and close access on our own initiative when a report or an inspection shows a clear breach.
10. Acceptable use
The Safe and Fair Play Policy at https://keywow.app/en/safe-and-fair-play/ sets out the rules in full. It forms part of these terms. In short, you must not:
- cheat, use modified versions of the app, bots, automation or third party tools to earn keys, items or progress;
- exploit a bug, a glitch or a pricing error instead of reporting it to us;
- modify, patch, intercept or redirect the app’s communications, or bypass purchase validation;
- resell, share or transfer access, items or accounts, or advertise such sales;
- reverse engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it;
- harass, threaten, impersonate or defraud other users, or publish content that breaks section 9;
- use the app for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms other people or our service;
- attempt to overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to our systems.
Breaking these rules is a serious breach of these terms. It may lead to a warning, the removal of content, the reset or removal of items obtained illegitimately, the suspension of paid features, or the end of your access, as described in section 14.
11. Intellectual property of Keywow
Keywow, its name, its logo, the SIKA mascot, the artwork, the visual effects, the animations, the sound design, the game systems, the interface and the code are owned by Black Black G or licensed to it. They are protected by copyright, trademark and design law.
These terms give you a licence to use the app. They give you no ownership right over any of it. You may not use the Keywow name, the SIKA mascot or our visuals in a product, a video thumbnail, a shop listing or a brand without our prior written permission. Sharing a screenshot or a short clip of your own game is fine.
If you send us feedback, an idea or a suggestion, you agree that we may use it freely, without obligation and without payment, and that it does not create any right for you over the resulting feature.
If you believe content in the app infringes your rights, write to contact@keywow.app with your name, the details of the right you hold, and the exact location of the content. We will review it and act where appropriate.
12. Google Play provisions
You acknowledge that these terms are between you and Black Black G, and not with Google LLC or any Google entity (“Google”).
You also acknowledge that:
- your use of Keywow must comply with the Google Play Terms of Service in force at the time;
- Google is only the provider of the store from which you obtained the app;
- Black Black G, and not Google, is solely responsible for the app and its content;
- Google has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- Google is not responsible for any claim relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal requirement, and claims under consumer protection law.
Google and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms as they relate to the app, and may enforce them against you.
13. Availability, updates and changes to the service
Keywow is a living product. We update it to fix problems, add effects, adjust the game balance and keep it working with new versions of Android.
Because of this, we may add, change, suspend or remove a feature, an effect, an item, a chest or a game system. Some updates may reset game elements: a progression track, a season, a leaderboard, an item’s stats or the content of a chest pool. We tell you in the app when a reset affects what you hold, and the rates screen always reflects the current odds.
You agree that change over time is a normal part of the service, and that this is one of the reasons we can offer it. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated app, but you are always free to stop using it, and nothing in this section removes your statutory rights.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, a store review, a technical incident or a decision by Google may make the app temporarily unavailable. We may also stop distributing the app or end the service. If we end the service, we give reasonable notice in the app or on keywow.app, and we handle purchases according to the law and the Google Play rules in force.
14. Ending our relationship
You can stop at any time. Uninstall the app and stop using it. If you have a subscription, cancel it in Google Play as described in section 7, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription.
We can end your access. We may suspend or end your access, immediately and without prior notice, if you seriously breach these terms, the Safe and Fair Play Policy or the law, or if we are required to do so by a legal authority. In less serious cases, we may first send a warning or limit the affected feature.
What ending means. When our relationship ends, your licence under section 4 stops. You lose access to the app and to the virtual items attached to it. We may delete the content you published. Items obtained through a breach may be removed or reset without compensation.
What survives. Ending our relationship does not cancel sums already due, and does not remove the clauses that by nature continue to apply: intellectual property, liability, disputes, and governing law.
Your statutory rights. Nothing in this section affects the legal rights you have as a consumer in the country where you live.
15. Our liability
We provide Keywow on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work to keep it correct and available, but we cannot promise that it will run without interruption, without errors, or exactly as you expect on every Android device.
To the extent the law allows it, we exclude the implied warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms.
Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to the total amount you paid for Keywow in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. If you paid nothing in that period, our liability is limited to the minimum amount required by law.
We are not liable for damage that was not reasonably foreseeable when these terms were accepted, nor for loss of data, loss of progress, loss of virtual items, or loss of opportunity, when the loss results from a cause outside our control or from your own act.
What this section does not do. It does not exclude or limit our liability where the law forbids it, in particular for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or intentional misconduct, for defective products, or for any right you hold as a consumer under the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
16. Resolving disputes
If something goes wrong, write to contact@keywow.app first. Describe the problem, include your order identifier if the dispute concerns a purchase, and give us the information needed to identify your device and app version. We aim to answer within a reasonable time and to resolve the issue directly.
If we cannot resolve it informally, and if you are a consumer in France, you may use the free consumer mediation service (médiation de la consommation). Write to us first: we will tell you which mediator we use and how to contact them, and we will take part in the mediation in good faith. Mediation is optional and free for you.
If mediation does not settle the dispute, or if you prefer not to use it, you may bring the dispute to the competent courts under section 17. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform where it applies to your situation.
Nothing in this section prevents you from contacting a consumer association or a public authority in your country.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law.
The courts of France have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these terms or to the app, subject to the rules that protect consumers.
If you are a consumer residing in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence where the law allows it.
If you are a consumer residing in France, you may bring proceedings before the court of your place of residence or the court of our registered office.
18. General provisions
Severability. If a clause of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force, and that clause is replaced by the rule that comes closest to what it was meant to achieve.
Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Safe and Fair Play Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the app. They replace any earlier understanding, written or spoken.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a clause immediately, we do not give it up. We can enforce it later.
Assignment. We may transfer these terms, and the rights and obligations that go with them, to another company, for example if the studio is reorganised or sold. We will tell you if that happens. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else.
Force majeure. We are not responsible for a delay or a failure caused by something outside our control, such as a network or hosting outage, a failure of Google Play, a change in the law, a natural disaster or a strike.
Notices. We contact you through the app, this website or the Google Play listing. You contact us at contact@keywow.app. A notice is valid from the day it is published.
Survival. The clauses that by their nature should survive the end of our relationship, in particular those about intellectual property, virtual items, liability, disputes and governing law, continue to apply after you stop using the app.
19. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when we add a feature, change a purchase mechanism, or when the law or the Google Play rules change. The current version is always published at https://keywow.app/en/terms-of-service/, with its date at the top.
For a substantial change, we give notice in the app or on the website before it takes effect, and we give you a reasonable period to stop using the app if you disagree. A change that is required by law or by Google Play may apply immediately.
Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.
20. Contact
For any question about these terms, the app, a purchase or a report of infringing content:
Postal address: Black Black G, 1 Allée des Frênes, 94290 Villeneuve-le-Roi, France.
We answer in English and in French. Write from the address you used for the purchase when your request concerns an order, so we can find it faster.
